Although you will cure your oven, it will still crack. In truth, all wood fired brick or clay ovens will crack depending on the temperature. These cracks are usually very thin. Patching the cracks isn't necessary and it will not affect the oven's function. We do include a "patch" kit with each brick oven for cosmetic fixes! This is best to apply when the oven is hot.
